Creating a Spiritual Practice

Workshop Length: 60 – 90 minutes

Purpose:     To demonstrate the benefits of a regular spiritual practice and explore options for creating rich and meaningful practice

Description:   According to Statista, more than half of American adults say they seldom or never attend church, yet 75 percent refer to themselves as spiritual. When individuals no longer find traditional religion nurturing, many are left on their own to find the Divine connection, community, and guidance they long for. Participants will consider the benefits of creating a spiritual practice that meets their needs and explore many easily accessible approaches available to them.

Objectives:
  • Describe the benefits of sustaining a regular spiritual practice
  • Conduct a spiritual geography representing their spiritual journey to date
  • Explore various approaches and tools to deepen self-awareness and experience a richer connection to the Divine
  • Identify their priorities and preferences, and create an action plan to begin experimenting with their own spiritual practice

Program Materials: Participant Guide including exercises and an action plan
