OVERVIEW
Joanne is a certified spiritual director, career and dating coach, and trainer with over 20 years’ corporate and higher education experience. She was trained as a spiritual director at the Sacred Art of Living Center in Bend, OR. Her religious background includes Roman Catholicism, the First Reformed Church, Presbyterianism, and the New Thought traditions of Religious Science and Unity.
She likes the phrase “spiritual coaching” to describe what she does because many people have positive associations with coaching in one form or another. The support coaches offer extends beyond friendship, as they have experience and training to inform their insights and suggestions. Their tone is not directive, however, and spiritual coaches are themselves still growing spiritually.
One resource Joanne uses for spiritual insight is the Enneagram, a unique tool for psychological and spiritual growth. This ancient wisdom tradition explains why we behave the way we do by uncovering our unconscious motivations and deeply rooted influences, offering a pathway to greater peace and enhanced relationships.
